This policy explains what [Company legal name] collects through LienTimer and how it is used.

What we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password).
• Company information: your business name, address, phone and signer details, which are used to fill in documents.
• Job information you enter: jobsite addresses, legal descriptions, parcel numbers, amounts, dates, and the names and mailing addresses of property owners, contractors and lenders.
• Mailing records: recipients, dates, methods, and tracking numbers.
• Technical data: IP address and browser information in server logs, used for security and to prevent abuse (for example, limiting repeated failed logins).

How we use it

• To calculate deadlines, generate documents, and send mail you request.
• To send you account emails (verification, password reset) and deadline reminders you can turn off in Settings.
• To secure the Service and prevent abuse.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your job data for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run LienTimer, and only as needed:

• Vercel (application hosting) and Neon (database hosting).
• Lob (printing and mailing, only for documents you choose to mail).
• Resend (email delivery).
• [Stripe (payments), once billing is enabled.]

We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is open. Deleting your account from Settings permanently deletes your company, users, jobs, parties and mailing records from our database. Backups are overwritten within [X] days. You can export your jobs at any time from Settings.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed with scrypt. Sessions and password-reset links use random tokens, and we store only a hash of each token.
